Shasta and Julie are the founders of Leaf and Light, a crystal jewelry and plant-based lifestyle brand born from a deeply personal journey. 

Leaf and Light was inspired during a time when Julie was experiencing a health journey. In the midst of emotional highs and lows, Julie introduced Shasta to the grounding and calming presence of crystals — especially Amazonite, her favorite for its soothing energy and empowering properties. What began as a source of personal comfort soon blossomed into a creative calling for the pair.

With a background in product development in the personal care industry, Shasta has always been passionate about creating meaningful products that support well-being.

Today, Shasta brings her love of self-improvement, spirituality, and intentional design into every piece. When she’s not creating, she loves traveling with her family, watching reality TV, reading under cozy blankets, and celebrating each full moon with reflection and ritual. Through Leaf and Light, she hopes to share a little bit of peace, strength, and connection.

Julie has made jewelry for over 20 years and brings a deep understanding of energy flow through her training in acupuncture. She creates with both intuition and purpose, weaving energetic support into each piece. Her favorite Leaf + Light combos — Clear Voice and Lit From Within — speak to her own story of healing and self-expression. When she’s not creating, Julie is also watching reality TV, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, shopping at maker’s markets, or trying new restaurants with her family. 

The Leaf side was inspired by Julie’s grandmother — who lovingly passed on plant cuttings to friends and family — Julie and Shasta both share rare propagations from their personal collections. Rooted in water and grown with intention, these living pieces bring lasting beauty and grounded energy to any space.
